Bent poles and Big smiles….

I won’t always be doing reports on guided trips that we do.  For some people, they just want a day on the water without it being publicized and I respect that 100%.

This trip was a special one.  This young fella Josh is an avid reader of our site and when his Birthday rolled around he asked his parents if he could give up a B-day party in exchange for a guided trip.  I thought that was pretty cool.

Josh invited his buddy Michael along for the day and they were accompanied by their Dads.  We dipped the Lund into the lake and set off.  The young lads were running the bow, backboating their Dads.

It wasn’t too long before rods were bent!

Smallies, Largies, Walleye, Pumpkinseeds and Bluegills visited us.  I lost count at 50.

The kids were asking all sorts of questions.  “What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever seen caught?”  While talking about that one of the Dads reeled in perhaps the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen caught.  A 13 inch bass with a tournament tag still attached!  I popped it off and let him go, poor bugger!

The boys had a blast and other than the necessary snack breaks they were hard at it for 7 hours out there.  Great day!
