Carpin’ wit da boys…

Had a free day so I threw out an invite to my buddy Chevy to join me for a day on the banks of the St. Lawrence for Carp.  Gave him the go ahead to grab his buddy Mickey as well and we were all set.

They had never done this style of fishing before and were anxious to see how it all works.  “What should we bring?” My standard Carp fishing requirements, “A comfy chair and food.”

Once a nice bed of bait was on the bottom we had our 3 lines wet in short order.  Time to kick back and relax, well not for long.

A rod screamed off and Mickey was on it, banking his first Carp.

Chevy was up next and was lovin it!

Mickey was back at it again, giggling all the way.

After a near doubleheader, Chevy landed this one.

They insisted I took a turn, anyone who scoffs at Carp fishing is a fool!

A rod bounced hard and line screamed off.  The fish stayed down which is usually a really good thing.  It was.  Mickey landed our best of the day at 27 lbs…

Chevy just didn’t stop smiling all day!

Ended the day with this one, beautifully golden chunk she was.

Snowman popped up pineapple boilies did the damage for those curious Carpers.

Just an awesome day on the bank, I know I slept well that night!
