Football has never been my thing really. With everyone likely at home watching the game I decided to take advantage of the peace and quiet out on the lake. Birdee picked up some dinner for me which certainly hit the spot!
We’ve certainly entrenched ourselves into the period of mid-ice season where the fish turn off and that certainly makes for some tougher fishing. I managed to coax a Pike, some pesky Bluegills and the ever present Perch. The Crappie came to the party late and were finicky as could be. I managed 6 of them topside, including this one.
All the crappie were fooled by a Forage Minnow tipped with a mud minnow.
It was a great few hours kickin back at the shack. Going to be a hectic week with Birdee and I headed into the Calabogie Highlands for 4 days of fishin’. Stay tuned for that one this Sunday!
