Josh and his first Largie……

One of the many bonuses of us creating this site is the feedback we are getting from our faithful readers.  Regularly we hear from folks we wouldn’t think to be reading turn out to be avid readers and love it.  Very rewarding to both Birdee and I to hear that and reassures us that we are doing something that people do enjoy.  So Thank You.
One of our readers is a fella I grew up with fishing the local creeks and rivers around us.  Over the years we’ve fished together a few times but with kids and work in the way of scheduling it hasn’t happened in a few years now.  Through Facebook he and his family were introduced to this site.  This is the email I received today and wanted to share it.

Last week we headed up to Golden Lake to rent a cottage. During the drive up Josh told me he wanted to catch a large mouth bass. Upon arrival I did not think this was going to happen, as the kids could walk out about 300 yards without even going over their heads. Josh still was not willing to give up and before I knew it he slapped a power bait on the end of his hook, and off he went. The next thing I knew he  said Daddy I got something, much to my disappointment it was a small sunfish but he was happy. I then glanced over to a fallen tree that was in about 6 inches of water and caught a glance of a black tail. I told him to cast over there, and sure enough it was fish on. If it jumped once it jumped 10 times in his eyes. The look on his face was priceless.

The kids always look at your site, and enjoy it. Keep up the good work.

Steve
