With the weather being so mild in Eastern Ontario we had to take advantage of it, today was a no heater day in the portables and the fishing was pretty hot too! We were in search of whitefish but the lakers were simply more active this day.
Simple setlines on tipdowns were the hot setup for me. By simple I mean 2 splitshot and a tiny trout hook. A small one to start.
Next up with this decent grey that hit on the fall as I sending down my rig, which was pretty exciting. It hit about 20 feet down on the drop.
I never did connect with those elusive whitefish, next time!
