Title Shot Successes…

About 7 years ago I somehow ended up with a few packs of Fin-Tech Title Shot jigs in my mountain of tackle.  That Fall I slid a creature bait on one of them and from that day forward I was “hooked”.

No I didn’t stick myself with one of those Mustad hooks but the simplicity of rigging, variety of sizes and colors and a quality hook sold me.

The retainer/guard holds any bait in place, then texas rig your plastic for a great weedless presentation.  I prefer to use creature style baits or craws in almost every situation.

Birdee’s first Nickel on a 1/16ths oz with a creature bait.

My favorite in the lineup is that 1/16ths oz with a 5/0 hook.  While 95% of anglers are crashing their baits to bottom I prefer and believe I get some bites other don’t by having that slow fall.

The Football jig is also a favorite.  Dragging a craw across the bottom is deadly for both Largemouth and Smallmouth.

In the late Fall when the water hits 50 degrees or less it’s time to slow down and get a bait out there with a large profile.  I like to deadstick or slow retrieve a 4 inch tube jig over flats in 10-12 feet of water.

A new presentation I came across last Fall was using a Jackall Cover Craw rigged backwards.  This may be the only bait I ever rig on a Title Shot again.  Wow.  While I haven’t had a ton of time experimenting with it yet, what I have seen is impressive.
