Carpin’ with the Wolfe Pack…..

For many years the internet has been a fantastic tool for meeting up with fellow anglers.  Years ago, a family from upstate New York who visits our area regularly began posting on one of the local fishing message boards.  Over time we talked fishing back and forth and though having only met once in the past we felt like we all knew each other.  When their oldest son Tyler saw the great Carp fishing action we had shown on the blog he wanted in on it!  Plans were set in motion and a date was set.
Down to the St.Lawrence River we all trekked.  Birdee and I went early and had everything set up and ready to rock for our guests when they arrived.  We began baiting right away and set out our 2 rods to get a feel for how the fishing would be.  In the first 90 minutes Birdee and I banked 6 and lost a pair, great action upcoming for our guests!
Birdee ended up banking clones.  A pair that tipped the scales to 22 lbs 11 Oz.
Then it was all Wolfe Pack!  They had drawn numbers for rod rotation.  Shane was up first. I believe a 16 lb 7 oz. fish.
Then Ty was up, which turned into a double.  Ty with the best fish of the day at 24 lbs 7 Oz,  Margie hopped next to Ty for a quick pic with her first Carp.
Brian drew last and had a blast playing with these fish.  He was very inquisitive as to how everything worked and was helping out with setting up before too long which was appreciated.
Margie got her turn at a bit bigger fish this time around.
Shane picked up our 5th 20 plus pounder on the day.
Ty picked up this one near days end and we all left satisfied.
It was really a great day for Birdee and I to host this great family and the fish co-operated!
Til next time big girl……….
